On Monday 31st August we had the privilege to attend a charity Picnic fun day. It was an honour to be invited along and a pleasure to involved.
Raising money for two worthwhile causes; the Rowan Baby Bereavement Suite at Musgrove Park Hospital and Mark First & Preschool Academy. It was incredible to see the support from the local community and an amazing £615 was raised.
Sensory Time Classes are suitable from 4 months to 4 years of age, however it was wonderful to see children of all ages in our new Sensory tipi, engaged and exploring the environment. Even the adults enjoyed the therapeutic sensory experience of our spaghetti sea and cloud dough.
A fantastic time was had by all and local class leader Kirsty said “it was an incredible turn out, all of the children had a wonderful time, it was great to be able to show how sensory time supports the local community in other ways” Sensory Time UK is dedicated to and passionate about providing a valuable community provision. It was lovely to see children who have attended and still attend Sensory Time Classes and we look forward to welcoming new little ones for our September Term.
We would like to thank the organisers for inviting us to be a part of this. A massive congratulations on raising so much and well done to everyone that attended and helped out. We know how much work goes into planning, organising and delivering such events, so really appreciate the efforts made. The success of the Charity picnic is demonstrated through feedback from parents and is reflected by organiser Leanne:
“We’ve just finished counting the pennies and we’ve made an amazing £615.00!!!!!!!!! Wow wow wow! It will be split in two and passed on to The Rowan Baby Bereavement Suite at Musgrove who looked after us last year and Mark Preschool Academy! Fantastic!”
We understand this was a one off event but would be happy and privileged to support any future events.
